Sunday May 9: Volunteer tidy-up at Stantonbury

To prepare the track for the new season, we will have a volunteer day on Sunday 9 May:

  1. The tidy up session will start at 1pm and will last 3-4 hours.
  2. All the jobs will be outside so dress accordingly
  3. If you can bring your own gardening implements (eg spades, shovels, trowels, rakes, brushes), that would be very helpful. Don’t forget some gardening gloves if you wear them.
  4. We will open the clubhouse for the use of the toilets and we will open the kitchen in order that we can make tea / coffee but it will require you to wear a mask when you go inside.
  5. We will supply some refreshments(eg pastries etc) to keep the energy levels up during the afternoon.
  6. Please adhere to government guidance regarding social distancing at all times. Hand sanitiser is available at the access to the track.

As a final note, one of the committee members(Jackson Ryan) is arranging to repaint the car park lines immediately outside the track area but cant make Sunday afternoon so is going to do it on the day before (Saturday 8th approx. 2.30pm). If any of you would prefer the Saturday and are handy with paint 😉, then please let me/ Jackson know.

If you are able to help, please let me know.

Kind Regards

Ian Stewart
