Greg Rutherford, who hung up his long jump spikes eighteen months ago, was persuaded by his international pole vaulter friend, Steve Lewis, to run the Arizona Rock and Roll Half Marathon. Greg and Steve both covered the course in 2:10:46, but the official results show that Steve (2672nd) got the verdict on the dip. 6951 runners completed the course.
I have been told by Runbritain that this course was short. Perhaps he’ll do a proper Half Marathon in the MK Festival of Running on 15 March?
