A very hot day with temperatures in the mid twenties saw the number of personal bests in the British Milers Club meeting at Stantonbury fall from the normal 60% to just 46% as some runners suffered in the heat. For the 30 runners competing for Marshall Milton Keynes only 13 (43.3%) achieved personal bests.
The MMK runners with personal bests were:
800m: Zak Freeland, Benjamin White, Harry Totton, Elias Skaarup, Sophie Stockton, Anna Ustaran-Anderegg, Alesha Patel, Jessica Tite
1500m: Leo Freeland, Callum Tripp, Samuel Luke Oldroyd, Ella Glass
3000m: Matthew Dicks
There were some outstanding races with athletes posting top-of-the-UK-Rankings performances in the U20 Men’s 2000mSc, U17 Men’s 1500mSc, U15 Boys 800m, U13 Boys 1500m and U17 Women’s 1500mSc.
