    Milton Keynes Athletic Club

    Marshall Milton Keynes Athletic Club is affiliated to UK Athletics, England Athletics and Buckinghamshire Athletic Association . The Club competes in the South of England and is located in the South East Region The Club exists to provide members with Track and Field, Road, X-Country and Fell-race competition, recreation, advice and assistance by qualified coaches, league competition for all age groups, (Men and women from age 9 upwards) and, most important of all, good fun. Why not join our club - Look for a contact name and get in touch. We meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Stantonbury Stadium, Milton Keynes. from 6pm. There are weekly sessions for 5-8 year-olds at Stantonbury Athletics Stadium on Fridays. Contact Gordon Fallow for further details.
    The Tiger Group for 9-11 year olds meets at Stantonbury Campus on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm and from 7-8pm. For further information contact Mick Lee.

    November 8: MMKAC will shortly have a new website and a new host (but the same URL: http://www.mkac.org.uk). Mick Bromilow, who has maintained this website for the last 22 years, will step down as webmaster at the end of 2017. The new site will be looked after by a group of contributors, but we will need someone to update the results section of the new website, using Wordpress. If you can help, please contact Mick Bromilow.
    September 13: AthleticsMK, the Club Newsletter, is now available online.

    Club vests and hoodies, and order forms for Club Jackets can be obtained from Wendy Durand at the Clubhouse Kitchen on Tuesdays.

    Membership fees: You can pay your fees by BACS transfer. Any queries relating to membership, please contact the Membership Secretary at membership@mkac.org.uk.
    Compulsory Registration: The Competition Rule Book requires all competing track & field athletes and cross country runners to be affiliated to England Athletics. The club automatically pays the affiliation fee for any active member who has paid his/her membership fees. However, members who have not renewed their membership by the end of March 2018 will not be affiliated.

    Saturday October 6: Marshall Milton Keynes Awards Evening at the Oak Tree Centre, Shenley Brook End, MK5 7GZ) from 7 to 10pm. There will be a buffet with nonalcoholic drinks. Members can bring their own alcoholic drinks if they wish. Tickets at £10 (£30 for a family of four) will be available at the Clubhouse Kitchen from Tuesay 18 September.

    September 23: The MMK Masters Men and Women both win at the Eastern Masters Final in Milton Keynes.
    September 16: Wendy Webber (19th F40) finishes the Berlin Marathon in 2:59:31; Stephen Young finishes in 3:00:48; Elliot Hind (MS) covers the first half in 75:14, but suffers in the second half to finish in 3:13:11; Tom Hayman (MS) finishes in 3:14:13.
    September 16: Ian Van Lokven (M60) finishes 9th in the World Masters Half Marathon in Malaga in a time of 87:08, to score for the winning Great Britain Team.
    September 16: John Skelton (M65) finishes fifth in the 1500m Final in 4:59.88.
    September 15: John Skelton (M65) wins his 1500m heat in 5:17.41 to qualify for the Final at the World Masters Championships in Malaga, Spain.

    September 8: Imogen King is fourth in the U17 Women's Junior Great North Run in 15:13.

    September 1: A win for Moyin Oduyemi and medals for Lara Moffat, Eva Durand, Jack Meijer and Sam Featherstone, as 14 MMK athletes represent Buckinghamshire at the Southern Inter County U20/U15 Championships at Oxford.

    August 27: Rachel Robinson breaks the Club Women's 5km Road Race Record with third place in 16:40 at the Podium 5k at Barrowford, Lancashire.
    August 25/26: Lara Moffat (pictured right) wins the England Athletics F15 Hammer title with a Club Record 53.14m at Bedford. Eva Durand is fourth in the F15 Javelin with 37.69m. Tim Penley is fifth in the M15 Pole Vault in a Club Record 3.51m. Moyin Oduyemi is seventh in the F15 100m final with 12.43 (w+2.1). Lateefah Agberemi is seventh in the F15 Triple Jump with a Club Record 10.44m (w+5.7).
    August 25/26: Gold Medals for Emma Beales, Dennis Edghill and Bunt Scott at the British Masters Championships in Birmingham.
