February 20-27: Paul Canning makes the 60m and 200m Finals and runs the last leg in the 4x200m to win gold at the European Masters Indoor Championships

Paul Canning qualified for the Final of the M55 60m at the European Masters Indoor Championships at Braga in Portugal by placing second in his heat in 7.78 and third in the Semi-Final in 7.75. In the Final he did not have the best of starts, finishing 7th in 7.80. The bronze medal was won in 7.75!

On Thursday he started his campaign in the 200m by winning his heat in the third fastest time of 25.17 and close to his 25.04 pb. On Friday he qualified for the Final, finishing second in 25.24. In the Final, the top three broke 25 seconds, leaving Paul 4th in 25.60.

On the Final day of the Championships, Paul anchored the Great Britain Team in the 4x200m relay, crossing the line first in 1:43.72. A fantastic end to a very busy week!
