January 29: Under 13 Girls take Gold at SEAA Cross Country; Lara Bromilow’s highest finish

 

The Marshall Milton Keynes AC Under Girls Team struck Gold at the South of England Cross Country Championships, held at Beckenham. Only two MMK girls have placed higher in the U13 Girls Race than Katie Webb’s excellent fourth place, backed up by fine finishes from Sophia Chapman, Elsie Jacobs and Olivia Chilton. It is the first time the club has won this team event. It came close in 1999, losing out by one point to Aldershot, Farnham and District. This time, Aldershot were third!
