Three MMK Javelin throwers were invited to attend a national-level javelin competition at Lee Valley last Sunday.
Eva Durand (pictured above) had an outstanding competition, throwing a club F17 record 46.55m to consolidate her lead at the top of the UK F17 rankings. Joseph Taylor threw an excellent 51.76m for second place, just short of the 54.42 he threw last weekend which puts him 6th in the M17 UK Rankings in his first year in this age group. Ayesha Jones will have to wait another week to break 40m, which she missed by one cm in Milton Keynes. Here she threw 36.69m for fourth place, but remains second in the UK F15 Rankings.
