March 15: Almost 3000 runners compete in the Milton Keynes Festival of Running

While the numbers were down on last year due to the uncertainties in the current climate, there were 2955 finishers in this year’s festival of running. There was high praise from many of the runners for the brilliant support from the marshals and at the feeding stations.

MMK had three winners in the various races. In the Half Marathon, Steve Tuttle was the first man home, with Alice Ritchie taking the women’s race.

In the 20m mile event, Lara Bromilow worked he way to the front after a slow start to win the women’s race.

John Skelton (M65) returning to form after a long injury layoff, finished 10th in the 10km race to go second in the UK M65 rankings.
