December 7: MMK scrapes a win with a depleted team in the third Chiltern League match at Luton. There are wins for Leo Freeland and Eleanor Pearce

Only 82 runners turned out for the third round in the Chiltern Cross Country League, held over Stopsley Common in Luton. Eleanor Pearce just held off Libby Freeland to win the U11 Girls race, while Leo Freeland fought hard for a win in the U17 men’s race.

Callum Tripp was second in the U15 Boys race, while Jacque Smith was third in the U11 Boys Race.

In the Senior Races, Sam Winters was the first MMK man home in sixth place, while Elle Roche had a fine run to finish second in the Women’s Race, just three places ahead of Alice Ritchie.
