April 14: Three MMK runners excel at Brighton

Three MMK runners travelled to Brighton to take part in the UK 10k Championships held in conjunction with the Brighton 10k. Paul Mizon and Tom Comerford were engaged in a ding-dong battle throughout the race, with Tom just getting the edge, finishing 44th in a PB 31:09, with Paul just 7 seconds behind in 45th place for another PB in 31:16. That elevates Tom and Paul to 3rd and 4th on the MMK all-time 10km lists.

Lara Bromilow (F35) was almost involved in a pile-up just after the start as runners jockeyed for position. She came storming through in the second half to finish 114th in the race and 18th women to finish in a PB 36:11, consolidating her 8th place in the MMK women’s all-time rankings. She was also the second veteran woman to finish. 3322 finished the race.
